EBSMS students are encouraged to support our Box Out Hunger Food Drive.  Students should bring in canned foods that will be donated to Faith in Action.  The food drive will continue through November 17th.  The class that brings in the most canned foods will receive a pizza party.

Band members are selling fruit as their annual fund raiser.  Please see any band member to place your order.  All orders must be turned in Monday, November 13th.

Book Fair

Book Fair

The library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair - November 6th to 17th.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to buy books.  Check out the Fall Booklist - http://bookfairsfiles.scholastic.com/flippingbooks/F17-MS-booklist/F17-M... The fair will be open each day 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Students will come to the fair through their English classes and individually with a note from their teacher.

8th Grade Field Trip to VT

8th Grade Field Trip to VT

All 8th graders will have the opportunity to participate in a field trip to tour the campus of Virginia Tech. 

The campus of VT is hosting our student body for a campus information session and tour.  We will be eating lunch on campus in one of the student dining facilities.

We will be taking school buses for this trip.  Students may bring their cellphones and headphones for this trip.  Students may not bring Chromebooks or laptops.  Water bottles and snacks will be permitted on the bus but may not be brought on the tour. 

*  Students should wear comfortable shoes and a jacket for our time on campus.

*  Students will not be permitted to carry a backpack or other bag on campus.

*  Students MUST be dropped off in the car rider line NO LATER THAN 7:50 AM.

    Students will report directly to their English teacher's room.  Buses will depart at 8:15AM.

*  Students should be picked up promptly at 5:00 in the car rider line.

FFA Quizbowl Contest

FFA Quizbowl Contest

The FFA will be attending the Washington County Federation FFA Quizbowl Contest on November 9, 2017 at Wallace Middle School.  Students must come to at least 2 practices to be prepared for the contest.  Practices will be on October 19, 24, 26 and November 2, 7 after school until 4:30pm.  Alternative times can be arranged for those students that have after school activities.  Students should come to the agriscience room at the dismissal bell at the end of school on November 9.  FFA members will ride over to WMS for the contest which starts at 4:00PM.  Please have your rides pick you up at E.B. Stanley Middle School at 5:30PM.  Students should wear an FFA t-shirt or hoodie as well as other school appropriate clothing.  There is no cost for the contest.  If there are any questions, please email Mrs. Shortt at rshortt@wcs.k12.va.us.  The permission slip is due to Mrs. Shortt by November 2, 2017.
