The following information is for 8th graders at E. B. Stanley Middle School:
On Tuesday, March 21st, Abingdon High School Principal Dr. Lasley and Guidance Counselor Mrs. Gross will speak to current eighth graders concerning high school scheduling. This meeting will be held in the EBSMS Theatre at 9:00 a.m.
On Tuesday night, Abingdon High School will host Freshmen Orientation. This will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a meeting in the auditorium and will end at approximately 7:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for all students and parents to ask questions and learn more about high school offerings.
Also on Tuesday, March 21st, the Washington County Career and Technical Education Center will be having an Open House from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is open to all high school students and current 8th grade students who have any interest in attending the career center and want to see classrooms, shops, speak with teachers, etc.
High school scheduling will begin on Wednesday, March 22nd and continue through Friday, March 24th. Students will be pulled from their math classes for high school scheduling.
