E. B. Stanley Middle School

We want to follow up with parents regarding the incident that took place last Thursday evening regarding a post made by a middle school student.  Often when incidents like this occur, there will be many rumors that will surface following the incident.  That certainly has been true in this case.  To our knowledge, there was only one post made last Thursday evening and it was very vague (no direct threat was made toward any student or the school).  However, when things like this happen we take them very seriously.  And when rumors come to light following the incident, we always want to look into them.  We do not believe there are any additional threats.  

The student is not back at school.  However, we will continue to have additional law enforcement in the school building throughout the day.
